For BC residents aged 19+ who can collect the prize in person at 2577 Renfrew St, Vancouver, within 30 days of our email saying it is ready. Pickup will be arranged after the clinic opens. Travel is at your own expense; no shipping or electronic delivery. Read the contest rules before entering.

We use your email to confirm your entry and contact you if your name is selected. Booking-opening emails are optional and require the “Let me know when booking opens” box above. By entering, you agree to the contest rules and our Privacy Policy. For anyone under 19, use a parent or guardian as the entrant. The adult must meet the eligibility and pickup requirements; do not include the child’s personal information.

Contest rules

  • No purchase necessary. The contest is open to residents of British Columbia aged 19 or older who can personally collect the prize at Renfrew Family Dental, 2577 Renfrew St, Vancouver, BC, within the collection period below. A parent or guardian may submit an idea on behalf of a younger otter fan using the adult’s name and email. The adult is the entrant and must meet all eligibility and collection requirements; do not include the child’s personal information. You do not need to be a patient or book a dental appointment to enter or win.
  • Entries are accepted until 11:59 p.m. PT on January 31, 2027. One entry per person; if more than one is submitted, only the earliest eligible entry will be considered. Employees and contractors of Renfrew Family Dental and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
  • The winning name will be chosen by the Renfrew Family Dental team from all eligible entries. If more than one person suggests the winning name, the earliest entry wins. We may decline names that are trademarked, inappropriate, or otherwise unusable.
  • There is one prize: a $300 gift card, awarded to the entrant behind the winning name. The selected winner will be contacted by email and must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question to receive the prize. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if needed.
  • The winner must collect the prize personally, by arrangement, within 30 days after we email them that it is ready for collection at the clinic. Collection will be arranged after the clinic opens, expected in early 2027; the collection period will not begin before the prize is available. Shipping, electronic delivery, and collection by another person are not available. The winner is responsible for their own travel and any related costs. If a selected entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements or cannot collect the prize within this period, they forfeit the prize and our team will select another eligible entry using the same selection process.
  • By entering, you grant Renfrew Family Dental the right to use the suggested name for its mascot. We will not name the winner publicly unless they tell us they'd like the credit. Entry information is handled as described in our privacy policy, and asking for a booking-opening email is optional and never required to enter or win.
